The mobile CNC sender

Run your CNC router from your phone.

Every serious GRBL sender is chained to a laptop. Gantry lives in your pocket — live position, thumb jog, G-code streaming and live 3D, with no PC at the machine.

No account · no ads · no tracking · built-in simulator — try it with no machine.

Leave the mouse-on-a-stool at the desk.

gSender, UGS, OpenBuilds Control, CNCjs, bCNC — every good GRBL sender runs on a laptop wired to the machine. That means a computer living in the sawdust just to jog an axis or babysit a job.

Gantry owns the axis they can't follow onto: phone-first, and direct-connect with no PC at all. Think of it as the companion that frees your hands — not a desktop replacement.

What it does

Real machine control, in your palm.

🎯

Live DRO & jog

Machine and work coordinates, feed, spindle and state in real time. Thumb XY pad plus Z, with selectable step and feed. Home and zero from across the shop.

🧊

Live 3D toolpath

Load a G-code file and watch the cut render as it runs — rapids and cuts colour-coded, the tool head moving with the machine. Pan, zoom, rotate.

🔌

No PC needed

Plug the controller straight into your phone over USB-OTG, or pair over Bluetooth. Your phone is the pendant and the sender — backend-less.

↩️

Never lose a job

Power blip or dropped link? Run-from-line recovery resumes from any line with a safe re-entry. Plus auto-reconnect, keep-awake and pre-flight checks.

📐

Probing & feeds

Z touch-plate, edge, corner, hole-centre and auto-levelling height maps. A material-aware feeds & speeds calculator and a surfacing wizard.

🔒

Genuinely private

No account, no ads, no tracking, no cloud. The app only talks to the controller or server you point it at. The anti-SaaS tool.

Two ways to connect

Wire it up however your shop is set up.

Direct

Straight to the controller

USB-OTG cable or Bluetooth (classic or BLE) from phone to controller. No PC, no network — just the phone and the machine.

Networked

Over Wi-Fi

Run the free Gantry server on the PC wired to your machine and control or monitor from anywhere in the shop.

Simulator

Try with no hardware

A built-in GRBL simulator runs every feature — jog, stream, 3D, recovery — with nothing plugged in. Great for a first look.

Works with GRBL 1.1, grblHAL and FluidNC controllers — the standard GRBL path. Shapeoko, X-Carve, OpenBuilds LEAD, MPCNC, LowRider and home-built rigs.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need a computer at the machine?

No. With direct-connect you plug the controller into your phone over USB-OTG or pair over Bluetooth, and the phone is both the pendant and the G-code sender — nothing else on the bench. If you prefer, you can also run the free Gantry server on a shop PC and connect over Wi-Fi.

Which machines and firmware are supported?

Any controller on the standard GRBL path: GRBL 1.1, grblHAL and FluidNC. That covers Shapeoko, X-Carve, OpenBuilds LEAD/1010, MPCNC, LowRider and most home-built GRBL routers and lasers.

Is it really free?

Yes — core control, monitoring, the live 3D viewer, the built-in simulator and the alarm decoder cost nothing and need no account. Advanced features come as optional one-time in-app purchases. There is no subscription.

What data does Gantry collect?

None for the developer. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. The app only communicates with the controller or the server you connect it to.

Can I try it before setting anything up?

Yes. The built-in GRBL simulator runs every feature with no hardware attached, so you can jog, stream a job, watch the 3D view and test recovery straight after installing.

Is it safe to run a CNC from a phone?

A CNC machine is powerful and can cause injury regardless of what controls it. Gantry follows safe-machining practice — pre-flight checks, an always-visible state and emergency-stop — but you should always keep clear of the machine, know where your e-stop is, and never leave a running job unattended.

Untether from the laptop.

Install Gantry and jog your machine from your phone in the next five minutes — with the simulator, you don't even need it plugged in.
